Turn your Inbox around with Xobni

Fed up with your Outlook Inbox?

Turn it around with Xobni (yes — it's "inbox" backwards"), an Outlook plug-in.

Apparently, Bill Gates tried to purchase it, but the Xobni team turned down a gold-plated opportunity to cash in on their investment, because they preferred to go on developing it themselves. That bodes well for the future of this product, suggesting the company has both a strong belief in it and a strong development plan.

I originally beta-tested this product and it's now available for all. It's already pretty good at helping to find content, provide useful quick-links and also to analyse useful trends, such as

  • what time of day some people tend to send out their mail to you;
  • how long on average you take to reply to each of your correspondents,
  • how may emails you receive, from whom and how often etc.

I suspect it will get stronger, with more options and capacities being added over time. Download it directly from http://xobni.com
